This position completes Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loan administration and servicing activities, ensuring provision of quality customer service and remaining within approved policies, CRE procedures and governing loan agreements.
Leadership & Teamwork
* Cross-train in other servicing functions to ensure proper servicing of customers at all times.
Operational Effectiveness & Control
* Complete administration and servicing activities for Commercial Real Estate customers. Maintain quality service for all customers; ensure adherence to appropriate procedures to comply with internal policies and external regulations to protect Company interests.
* Complete line of credit advances/repayments, collateral review, shipping and tracking and general customer service. Complete basic system administration, department reporting and various other special projects as assigned.
* Ensure files contain sufficient and accurate information to allow loans to be properly serviced. May conduct periodic reviews of each file.
* Contact external parties, suck as borrowers, attorneys, assessors, insurance brokers and government agencies as required to properly service the customer and resolve related inquires. Refer more complex problems to management for resolution.
* Ensure all Company records for real estate customers are current and accurate to support portfolio management and ensure integrity of Company financial statements. Prepare and/or verify accuracy of reports reflecting area activities.
* To implement the Group compliance policy locally by containing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Global Business Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources and training, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators.
* Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.

Management of Risk
* Ensure compliance, operational risk controls in accordance with HSBC or regulatory standards and policies; and optimize relations with regulators by addressing any issues.
Observation of Internal Controls
* Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
* Minimum of two years proven commercial real estate servicing experience or equivalent.
* Minimum of an associates degree in business, related field or equivalent experience.
* Proven communications, planning, organizational, customer service and decision-making skills.
* Knowledge of commercial real estate products, services and policies and regulations impacting responsibilities.
* Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent mainframe systems and software packages.
