The purpose of this role is to organize and conductoperational, financial, and process audits at corporate and subsidiary unitlocations. Plan and direct responsibilities for moderately complex tocomplex audits and special projects as the senior auditor. Supervisestaff auditors in performing audits as applicable. Operational Audits: (mayinclude unit audits, process reviews, contract audits, etc.) Ability to workindependently and set and meet deadlines on assigned projects.o Keeps manager abreast of status of workissues encountered in a timely manner.o Assumes full responsibility for assignedprojects and ensures all items are brought to completion by the assigned duedate.o Manages own workload. Communicates as neededto manager to address priority of assigned tasks and projects.o Records all time in Audit Software. Coordinatesspecial projects and investigations as requested. Maintainsexcellent oral and written communication skills. Review allplanning documents and approve proposed scoping prior to planning meeting withmanagement. Participate in all planning meetings with management. Review audit workpapers for substantive issues, thorough documentation and support and assurancethat testing was completed accurately and completely. Participate inclosing meetings with management. Review all auditreports. Participate indiscussions regarding audit findings with senior management as requested. Work with the VPto develop special projects to provide value to the organization. Execute specialprojects; develop project plan, create audit programs, deliverables, etc. Manage travelbudget and monitor internal time budgets and review time recorded in TeamCentral. Begin to identifyareas of continuous improvement within the Internal Audit methods andprocedures. Performs self-review of work products to ensure completeness of documentation and support. Continue toenhance analytical skills.o Analyze aP&L statement and determinereasons for fluctuations. Gain a furtherunderstanding of the Key Performance Indicators (KPI) of each of oursubsidiaries and identify potential anomalies or issues using the financialdata. Directs staffauditors on their assigned tasks and perform the detail work of an audit underthe supervision of a lead or manager.o Lead the Planning process.o Performs assigned audit testing andthoroughly documents all process overview inquiries and testing performed.o When staffing permits, assign detail work tostaff and monitor their progress.o Identifies audit issues and root causes,recommend improved internal controls and business processes and ensure correctiveaction plans are developed and implemented. Review work ofstaff auditors to ensure audit testing was thorough, documentation and supportare complete and accurate. Begin to takeresponsibility for staff development.o Provide on the job training.o Provide timely feedback to staff.o Collaborate with staff auditors on goalcreation. Considerparticipation in the mentoring program. Continuouslearning.o Stay abreast of current industry issues.o Stay abreast of current internal auditpractice issues. Ability to runeffective meetings. Ability to provideexceptional client services to our internal clients by clearly communicatingtimetables and expectations and working collaboratively to deliver solutions toidentified issues or recommendations to improve current processes based on bestpractices.o Become a resource internal clients utilizefor internal control questions.o Responds to all calls and emails to internalclients within 24 hours.o Uses out of office notification whiletravelling or out on vacation and unable to respond to messages with analternate IAS point of contact. Requirements: Bachelor s Degree with an area of study inAccounting, Internal Audit, Finance or similar. CPA or commitment topursue CPA, CIA, or other approved certification. A minimum of 5 years in anaccounting or audit function is required. Must have a minimum of threeyears previous experience in a lead or managerial capacity. Experience in publicaccounting is helpful. Expected to learn formal audit documentationrequirements, inquiry and analytical skills. Travel to company sites worldwide,which offers services from Sports venues to airports to National Parks togaming destinations, hotels and restaurants.
