Job Summary The Senior Financial and Cost Analyst (SFCA) is a key role within the Finance and Controlling department by been responsible for the execution, reporting and analysis of the costing and cost variances related to jobs and services, for executing cost updates and assisting the Costing Manager in the Cost Build Process, including rates calculation, integrity of our Standard costing and the assessment of cost-absorption risks and opportunities. In addition, this role is directly involved in Inventory, Capital Investment - Asset under construction capitalizations - depreciation forecasting, analysis and reporting. The SFCA role is a key individual during the weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasting process. The candidate must be able to work in a challenging and fast paced environment, to foster collaboration across the teammates and our business partners, to work under minimal supervision and to show strong work ethic values and strong communication skills. Responsibilities Costing: Analyze and Report standard cost variances Proactively work with the different teams to detect and fix cost absorption issues and detect Cost Savings Opportunities. Execute cost build, Cost audits and Cost roll ups. Assist on Inventory, Scrap-Rework, Excess and Obsolete Expense Analysis. Drive and analyze HC Capacity and Variable Costs Productivity. Drive and lead a process improvement culture to improve and better align our Productivity Metrics, Cost Structure and Variance analysis to reflect our accurate margins and to make bottom line savings. Inventory Participate in the Physical Inventory Tacking Provide insightful analysis and participate in special projects. Provide information for NAFTA COM / Commercial Invoices. Financial Analysis Actively participate in the elaboration of weekly pulse, monthly & quarterly forecasting, in addition to assisting in the elaboration of annual operational planning. Provide insightful financial information and Actual vs Plan/Forecast/Prior period analysis. Actively participate in the Daily communication reviews to assess risk and opportunities and coordinate financial requirements with the different groups when needed. Actively participate in month closing activities, including Expense settlements, allocations, account reconciliations and expense tracking. Participate and assist in internal audit and sox compliance processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting 3-6 years of significant Costing or Financial experience. Experience in driving a proactive and leading role within his function. Experience in costing in SAP. Experience in Lean concepts or exposure to Six sigma problem solving Key competencies Strong Costing and accounting acumen. Strong analytical and problem solving skills Willingness to learn and communicate effectively risks and opportunities. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with SAP is required Experience in HFM, Hyperion and Oracle is desired.
