Position Description: We have an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Reconciliation Analyst. This position will be instrumental in reaching our Lending Solutions Contact and Service Center #1 Goal of Quality. The successful candidate will assist the Cash Management Group in redesigning processes, improving efficiencies and optimizing results. We are looking for a key contributor with the strong analytical skills, ability to drive change, improve processes and realize efficiencies. To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to be able to grasp the business operations and vital processes across the Cash Management Department, possess strong technical accounting/finance knowledge, excel in a fast paced ever evolving environment and drive positive momentum across multiple projects. Essential Job Responsibilities : Proactively Identify Gaps in Current Daily processes to ensure that 100% of daily incoming cash, accounts payable, bank, and disbursement transactions are balanced correctly to the proper sub-ledger system. Take ownership of the entire cash disbursement function by ensuring that the proper controls are in place. This will require a strong accounting knowledge to provide the guidance for the segregation of duties as well as the reconciliation of the daily disbursements to the supporting sub-ledger systems. Success will be measured by the ability to demonstrate that that all controls are in place and transactions are balanced in a meaningful way with in the first year of the project. Transform the current cash receipts function by consolidating the current antiquated processes into one area and automating and integrating them with various systems and bank accounts. This will result in 100% accuracy of funds processed as well as standardized reporting that will balance back to each deposit and totals of amounts due client. Redesign the Current Bank Reconciliation process so that all account reconciliations are standardized and follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). The new processes will have all Fiserv Managed Bank Accounts on boarded to the Great Plains Software, all cash tracked to amounts due to/From clients as well as the monthly preparation of the Reconciliation to Fiserv Accounting for Review. Partner with IT and Operations Departments Identify Areas of Improvement with regard to the integration of various systems focusing on the ability to import data that is currently maually input into various systems. These improvements should generate a 10% year over year expense savings for our clients or Fiserv. Effectively Train Cash Management Staff in AP, Cash Applications, and Reconciling Functions Ability to ensure that functional area tasks are 100% documented and have a procedure that is comprehensive, correct, up to date, complete, validated, formatted correctly, uploaded and published to the correct folder within QMS The above statements are intended only to describe the general nature of the job, and should not be construed as an all-inclusive list of position responsibilities.
